Dr. Fishbein’s Commendations

Controversy
Dr. Fishbein was slated to receive a $2,500 Special Recognition Award from his supervisor, DAIDS Director Edmund Tramont, for his outstanding work performance. This award was abruptly cancelled as soon as Dr. Fishbein complained to Dr. Tramont that female employees in the Division were being sexually harassed by Jonathan Kagan. These e-mails track the decision to revoke Dr. Fishbeins’ award. Dr. Fishbein never received any notice from NIH that he was a probationary employee.
