The Jonathan M. Fishbein, M.D. Legal Defense
Fund has been established at the National
Whistleblower Center to support this courageous
physician in his fight to expose the waste,
fraud and abuse prevalent at the National
Institutes of Health (NIH). The Fund is
committed to three goals:
- Bring about greater
accountability and transparency at NIH;
- Press for policy changes
at NIH that protect bone fide whistleblowers
from retribution; and
- Restore the reputation
of Dr. Fishbein and allow him to resume
his successful career in the field of
medical safety, pharmaceutical research
and HIV/AIDS.
The public is urged to contribute
generously to this effort.
